Where are the Girls?

I've observed the number of girls who maintain blogs is far less than those of boys. Could the reason(s) be one or more or none of the following?

1.The number of boys online is greater than the number of girls

2.The 'blog-awareness-index' is low in case of girls

3.Girls hesitate to disclose their thoughts/opinions online

4.Girls have better things to do in life than blog

5.Girls don't like blogging. Simple

6.The number of girls who blog on a site is directly proportional to the number of the site's most loyal/regular target audience

7.Girls decide whether to blog or not after checking all the templates available. So, they consider blog as a precious possession than just as a dumping ground for mental output

8.Girls are not immature to blog { whats so immature about it }

9.Girls prefer sharing their thoughts with a real person rather than a virtual audience

...maybe the reason is something else altogether? Anybody knows??
